Terms for selling books

Offers

Our offers are for books in good, resalable condition that match the ISBN you entered. An offer in your cart is valid for 48 hours. When you place an order, we lock those offers, and you have 7 days to ship. Orders not shipped within 7 days expire.

We buy up to a set amount each day and may decline an order once that amount is reached. We may cancel an order before you ship if an offer was clearly wrong.

Shipping

For orders of $10 or more we provide a prepaid USPS label for one box. Use it only for the books in your order, shipped from the U.S. address you gave us. If a box is lost by the carrier after it was scanned, we'll work with you on a claim.

Checking your books

We check every book against our condition guidelines. Books that don't match the ordered ISBN or edition, or that don't meet the guidelines, are not paid for. Our assessment is final.

Books we can't accept are recycled. If you chose return at checkout, we send them back and deduct the return postage from your payment. If your payment can't cover the postage, we recycle them.

Payment

We pay by PayPal or Venmo to the account you gave us, usually within 3 business days of receiving your box. We cover the payout fee. Make sure the account details are correct: we're not responsible for payments sent to an account you entered incorrectly.

Ownership

You confirm that you own the books and have the right to sell them. Once we pay, the books belong to Stacked Reads LLC.
